From the 50's he is interested in plastic structures and visual knowledge in
the industry, attending studies of architects and engineers.
In 1962 he participated in the Programmed Art in Venice, Rome, Dusseldorf, Leverkusen
and the exhibition Zero in the Gallery Diogenes of Berlin. First overseas staff at the Galerie
Denise René in Paris in 1963, followed by a second, in the same year, at the Museum of
Leverkusen. In 1964 he was invited to the Venice Biennale and exhibited in the exhibition
Nouvelles Tendences at the Louvre Palace in Paris. In 1965 he participated in the exhibition
The Responsive Eye at MOMA in New York and created the first full-environments with walls
vibrating surface. In 1968 he participated in Documenta 4 in Kassel. From 1971 to 2003 he
held solo exhibitions in various countries. From 1981 to 1985 he was director of the Museum
of Modern Art in Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela. Is again invited to the Venice Biennale in 1986
