My paintings are not narrative works but to return to the painting itself. It is a discussion of the structure of the painting and also an exploration of time and space in a painting. Normally I draw inspiration from my daily life objects. They are enlarged, overlaid, cut or captured in a dynamic moment.I try to find out their structures and spatiality in an almost abstract way.
The strong colors in my works are the result of a variety of overlays of color. It is not only a structure of space but also a structure of time.It is visible to the viewers on the edge of the works as well as being looked through the surface of the painting. For me, the overlaid color is a representation of time, which makes the work finally as a process rather than an instant.
